Lindsay Lohan taken to hospital for chest infection

Where Lindsay Lohan goes, drama seems to follow (though Amanda Bynes might call it karma ...). TMZ reports that the "Liz & Dick" actress was rushed to the emergency room in New York on Sunday (Sept. 23) night for a reported chest infection.

Lindsay had been telling friends that she had a bad case of "walking pneumonia" for the last two weeks, but her father, Michael Lohan, says asthma may be to blame.

"She's fine, but she had a bad case of asthma as a kid, so she has to take these things seriously," Michael tells the New York Daily News. "When she was a kid, we almost lost her a couple of times because of the asthma."

Lindsay received antibiotics at Mt. Sinai and was then discharged from the hospital.
