Katie Holmes makes first official post-Tom Cruise appearance and faces forward with Bobbi Brown

In the midst of the most intense media scrutiny of her highly-scrutinized adult life, everything's coming up Katie Holmes. On Wednesday, she made her first official appearance after her split from Tom Cruise, when she was all smiles at the 9th Annual Style Awards in NYC. Seen above with Carolina Herrera, Holmes is not exactly the picture of a grieving divorcee.

At 33, she's just been named Bobbi Brown's first celebrity spokesperson ever, in the 21-year history of the makeup line.

A full-blown campaign will launch next spring, with photographs shot by Tom Munro. She'll also serve as the brand's "muse," and will collaborate with Bobbi Brown on a color capsule line to launch next year. WWD estimates that she'll make between $2 million and $3 million over the course of the multi-year deal.

"We weren't looking for a celebrity, just a cool, amazing woman who would fit with our brand. And she's just ridiculously naturally beautiful," says Brown, who is doing the makeup for Holmes' Fashion Week showing of her Holmes & Yang line.

"I think it's amazing that Bobbi found a hole in the marketplace and said, 'I'm going to do something about it. I'm going to create a line for real women who want to look pretty and have it be easy,'" Holmes adds.
