'Innocence of Muslims': Alleged anti-Islam filmmaker questioned by authorities

innocence-of-muslims.jpgNakoula Basseley Nakoula, the alleged filmmaker behind the notorious anti-Islam film "Innocence of Muslims," was picked up for questioning at his Cerritos, Calif., home early Saturday morning (Sept. 15) by federal probation officials, reports the L.A. Times.

The film is the subject of worldwide protests, including the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, and the Sept. 15 assault on a NATA air base in Afghanistan where Prince Harry is stationed.

Nakoula served 21 months in federal prison after pleading no-contest to bank fraud charges and may have violated the terms of his probation -- not to use computers or the Internet without approval from his probation officer -- by uploading the "Innocence of Muslims" to YouTube.
