Flavor Flav mistakes Miley Cyrus for Gwen Stefani

While backstage at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas on Friday (Sept. 21), Flavor Flav was thrilled to run into Gwen Stefani. They talked. They laughed. They took a picture together. Except the girl singer he was so friendly with was actually Miley Cyrus.

Granted, Miley was wearing her recently cropped and bleached hair in Stefani's signature way. She was wearing a snug black, mid-drift baring top with a skinny silver skirt. Also, pretty Stefani-esque. And, to her credit, she didn't even correct Flav. Nor did she take to Twitter to scold him for the mistake, like she did post-VMAs after people sniped that she had stolen Pink's look.

Once his error was brought to his attention, Flav sought Miley out again to apologize.

At least he didn't mistake her for his former fling Brigitte Nielsen. Now, that would have been awkward.
