Chris Brown 'beats women' warning stickers applied to his albums in UK store

chris-brown-beats-women-warning.jpgChris Brown has tried to redeem himself in the public eye after brutally assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, and though he's certainly made an industry "comeback," many consumers are still unhappy that he's back in the spotlight at all.

A group of morality vigilantes in the UK have taken it upon themselves to go around to record stores and affix "warning" stickers to Brown's albums. When customers pick up his album in certain stores, they might be confronted with a label that reads "WARNING. DO NOT BUY THIS ALBUM! THIS MAN BEATS WOMEN."

"It would appear a member of the public popped into one of our stores yesterday and stickered a handful of CDs," a rep for HMV tells E! News, denying that any HMV employee had anything to do with the label. "These were spotted and quickly removed, but, before we could act, the individual concerned must have taken a photo and sent it to the media. To our knowledge there are no further stickers in our stores now."

Though the rep claims that a "handful" of albums were stickered, actually every "Fortune" record in the store was slapped with the warning. There's no word as to whether the renegades hit any other record stores.
