Britney Spears sexual harassment lawsuit settled

Just one day before she makes her formal bow as a "X Factor" judge, Britney Spears has struck a settlement in two year legal battle with a former bodyguard.

The bodyguard, Fernando Flores, had filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Spears that claimed Spears repeatedly exposed herself and abused her children in his presence. Spears denied all allegations, but TMZ reports that she decided on a modest settlement in order to get rid of the case. According to TMZ, the settlement is "amicable" but doesn't cover all of Flores' legal costs.

Since Spears remains under conservatorship, the planned settlement needs to be approved by a probate court, but that's not expected to cause a problem.

Meanwhile, Spears remains focused on "X Factor," which returns for a second season Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
