Adam Levine and Maroon 5 set for Grammy nominations concert; LL Cool J to host

adam-levine-today-getty.jpgThree time Grammy award winners Maroon 5 -- featuring frontman Adam Levine of "The Voice" -- is the first act set for this year's Grammy Nominations Concert.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" star LL Cool J returns to host the special, which CBS will broadcast live this year from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. on Dec. 5 at 10 p.m. ET. This is the fifth consecutive year the nomination announcement will be televised as a primetime concert special (and LL Cool J has hosted every time).

February's 54th Annual Grammy Awards broadcast drew a massive 39.9 million viewers. That number was significantly boosted by a quickly assembled tribute to Whitney Houston, whose untimely death occurred only one day earlier.

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards are scheduled to air Feb. 10, 2013 on CBS.
