Tony Scott's funeral held in Los Angeles

tony-scott-ridley-scott.jpgTony Scott, the 68-year-old director behind "Top Gun" and "True Romance" who took his own life when he jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro Sunday, Aug. 19, was laid to rest Friday (Aug. 24) in Los Angeles, according to the AP.

Family gathered to mourn Scott's death, including his older brother, director Ridley Scott (pictured, left), with whom Tony co-ran the production company Scott Free.

Ed Winters, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, has said that Scott left two separate suicide notes. One was found in his car with a list of people to contact and one was found at his office that included personal messages to friends and family. The notes still did not shine any light as to why Scott committed suicide.
