Taylor Swift 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' video: Watch Swift dance with 'random woodland creatures'

taylor-swift-we-are-never-ever-getting-back-together-video-mtv.jpgTaylor Swift premiered the video for her new track "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" live on MTV on Thursday (Aug. 30), and it was ... weird, which was exactly what Swift was going for with the vid for her new single.

"I wanted the video to look as quirky as the song sounds," the singer tells MTV's Sway during an interview in New York following the video's premiere. "There's just knitting everywhere ... There's just random woodland creatures popping up."

She goes on to say that the video, which features Swift and her dark-haired love interest portrayed by model Noah Mills (who maybe looks a little bit like Jake Gyllenhaal??) breaking up and getting back together, was shot entirely in one take using one camera. Behind the scenes, Swift was "ripping clothes off, putting clothes on" for the video's many wardrobe changes -- from pajamas to adorkable Zooey Deschanel-esque dresses.

"We messed up 17 times before we got it right," Swift says of the one-take video.

Swift's new album "Red," which includes the new single, comes out Oct. 22 and will also include "a duet with [Swift's] absolute favorite band." Hmmm, who do you think it could be?

Check out Swift's new video below and let us know what you think. (Update: Actually, looks like it won't be available to view anywhere except MTV networks until Aug. 31 at 8 p.m. ET -- so in the meantime, watch it here!)
