Taylor Swift: Is Conor Kennedy's girlfriend buying a Nantucket home near the Kennedy compound?

Things are heating between Taylor Swift and her new boyfriend, Conor Kennedy. So hot that she's buying a cool pad near the Kennedy Compound in Nantucket?

The Boston Herald is reporting that the country crooner may have purchased a waterfront estate across the street from Conor's grandmother, Ethel Kennedy.

According to "the biggest rumor in the real estate biz," says the Herald, Swift is eyeing a seven-bedroom, Colonial-style home listed for $4.9 million. To bolster their report, the Herald points out that the country crooner's other homes, in Beverly Hills and Nashville, are also Colonials.

Conor probably had a firsthand look at Tay-Tay's Nashville manse this weekend; the two were spotted hanging out in her home turf.

Whether or not Swift and the Kennedys become neighbors -- frankly, we think the real estate rumors are a bit of a stretch -- the family has welcomed Conor's girlfriend with open arms.

As Rory Kennedy, Conor's aunt, told television critics at a recent press tour, "She's a great friend of all of ours." And Ethel Kennedy approves the match, saying, "We should be so lucky" to have Swift join America's royal family.
