'Tanning Mom' pale now -- sort of: Patricia Krentcil done with tanning?

New Jersey mom Patricia Krentcil nabbed headlines and a rap sheet in May when she was arrested for allegedly taking her then-5-year-old daughter into a tanning salon and allowing her to tan. She maintains that she never exposed her child to a tanning bed, but one thing she's not maintaining is her signature orange glow.

"Everyone says I look so much better less tan," Krentcil, 44, tells In Touch, adding, "I feel weird and pale."

Tanning Mom says a doctor once warned her to stop tanning, but she didn't listen to him.

"I wanted to be dark," she says. "I like looking like I just got back from vacation." (A vacation to the leather factory, perhaps?)

Krentcil says she's mostly finished with tanning for now but will likely still "squeeze a tan in here or there."
