Shia LaBeouf sent sex tapes to Lars von Trier for 'Nymphomaniac' role

Shia LaBeouf has said he is willing to have real sex in his new movie "Nymphomaniac" if director Lars von Trier calls for it, and in fact, doing the deed on film is apparently how he landed the role in the first place.

"I sent videotapes of me and my girlfriend having sex and that's how I got the job," the actor tells Chelsea Handler on Thursday (Aug. 30) night on the comedian's talk show.

But was the "Lawless" actor only joking? It's hard to tell based on the 26-year-old's deadpan delivery and the "OK" sign he flashed to the audience afterward.

But based on the fact that he told MTV News he would be willing to have unsimulated sex onscreen with someone who's not his girlfriend, Karolyn Pho, it definitely sounds plausible.
