Olympic star Ryan Lochte joining 'Dancing With the Stars'?

"Dancing With the Stars" might have a new all-star: Ryan Lochte!

At a sponsorship promotion in London Sunday, the Olympic champion swimmer told reporters he'd "very much" like to be on ABC's dance competition.

He's out of luck for this season, which premieres Sept. 24 with its first all-star cast -- including Olympians and former "DWTS" winners Apolo Ohno and Shawn Johnson.

But show insiders say they would welcome the swimming star -- and the person he said he'd most like to compete against, Michael Phelps -- to their ballroom.

With his gold medals and diamond-encrusted grill, Lochte's already got the perfect accessories for "Dancing's" requisite sequins and frills.
