Surprise! Rosie O'Donnell and Michelle Rounds got married ... in June.

O'Donnell, who recently suffered a heart attack, wrote on her blog this summer that she and Rounds were postponing their August nuptials following Rounds' diagnosis with rare desmoid tumors. But O'Donnell's rep tells People that the couple exchanged vows on June 9 in a private ceremony in New York before Rounds' first surgery on June 14.

"They got married but they haven't had the wedding celebration," her rep says.

O'Donnell announced the big news herself on her blog Monday (Aug. 27) in her classic free-form style, writing, "we married in private/before her surgery/just the 2 of us/when we r both well enough/will have the wedding of r dreams/surrounded by those we cherish/thankful for the love and support/so many have given us/during these trying times."

The couple have plenty to keep them busy in the meantime, as they are raising funds and awareness for the Desmoid Tumors Research Foundation. O'Donnell writes on her blog that she's been painting a lot since her heart attack and is auctioning off the paintings on eBay to benefit DTRF.
