Evan Lysacek announces he'll compete in Sochi 2014

evan-lysacek-getty.jpgEvan Lysacek, the U.S. men's figure skater who captured the gold medal in Vancouver at 2010 Winter Olympics, has announced he's giving it another go at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

He tells "The Today Show," "I'm officially coming back to competition ... I took time away from the ice, I did a variety of things, enjoyed all of them, but nothing satisfied me as much as competing. I still have the Olympic bug. I think I have one more games in me."

Anchor Savannah Guthrie points out that he'll be 28, which in the world of athletics is a lot different than 24, Lysacek's age in Vancouver.

Lysacek laughs and says, "I'm working with a different body, it'll be four years later. I've had to be a smarter and more efficient athlete, so training has definitely been different. I'm looking forward to this build-up to Sochi."

Are you excited to see if Lysacek can capture Olympic gold again?
