'Dexter's' James Remar patches up homeless man's head wound

James Remar, known for his roles on "Dexter" and "Sex and the City," is quite the good Samaritan. On Friday (Aug. 10), he was spotted outside a Los Angeles-area grocery store approaching a homeless man who was bleeding profusely from the head.

Remar, who is a former Emergency Medical Technician in the State of California, went into the store, bought a bandage and antiseptic cream and went back to the man, where he cleaned and dressed the wound, eye witnesses tell TMZ.

An eye witness also says Remar also stood there and told the man how to keep the wound from becoming infected. A rep for the 58-year-old actor says he just felt like it was the right thing to do.
