Beyonce Knowles to direct and star in documentary about her life

Actress, singer, wife to Jay-Z, mom to Blue Ivy -- Beyonce Knowles wears a lot of hats, and she's about to add another to the mix: documentary director.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Beyonce and her reps at ICM have been shopping a nonfiction film to studios about her life and career. According to the Times' source, the movie is a mix of concert footage and confessional-type interviews. Distributors have reportedly seen about 20 minutes of footage from the film.

If the flick does happen, it wouldn't be Beyonce's first documentary stint. She previously appeared in "Beyonce: Year of 4," a mini-documentary on MTV in 2011.
