2012 Summer Olympics: Lolo Jones just misses a medal in women's 100m hurdles
Four years after seemingly having a gold medal in her hands, only to stumble and finish off the podium, Lolo Jones was looking to redeem herself at the 2012 London Games in her signature 100m hurdle event. Unfortunately, it was not to be this time around either for Jones, who finished in fourth place by one-tenth of a second. However, despite Jones not medaling, the U.S. still had a strong showing, as U.S. runners Dawn Harper and Kellie Wells finished in the silver and bronze medal spots, respectively.
And Australian Sally Pearson was the big winner, not only taking gold but setting a new Olympic record of 12.35, breaking the 12.37 mark set by U.S. runner Joanna Hayes at the 2004 Athens games.
