'The Hunger Games' casts Amanda Plummer as Wiress
Actress Amanda Plummer is joining the cast of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" in the role of Wiress. According to a Lionsgate press release, "the character's eccentricity earns her the nickname 'Nuts' from fellow tributes, and though she doesn't communicate traditionally, her observations and contributions prove invaluable in the Quarter Quell.""Catching Fire" will pick up where the first "Hunger Games" movie left off, with Katniss Everdeen (as portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence) returns home after winning the 74th annual Hunger Games with fellow tribute (and maybe love interest) Peeta Mellark.

Plummer is probably best known for her role as a Yolanda (AKA "Honey Bunny") in Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction," though she's also a prolific Broadway talent. She can next be seen in the title role of the upcoming film "Abigail Harms."
Philip Seymour Hoffman was previously announced to be joining the cast in the role of Head Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee. Jena Malone is rumored to be considering taking on character Johanna Mason.
