Savannah Guthrie officially took over co-anchoring duties on "The Today Show" Monday morning (July 9). She says it is "an honor" to be at the anchor desk and when co-host Matt Lauer had the control room announce Guthrie again, she quips, "I'm glad you played it again because I was so nervous, I didn't hear it the first time."

After a highlight reel of Guthrie's time on "Today" as a co-host of the third hour of the show, plus a legal expert, Matt then revealed that Savannah's mom told him her favorite book as a child was "Dreams Can Come True," which is about a cheerleader who dreams of being pretty and popular. As he read from the book jacket, a mortified Savannah begged them to go to commercial.

On the "Today" website, Savannah lists her Top 7 moments from working on the show over the years, including interviewing Hillary Clinton and hopping in the "karaoke cab" in New York City.
