Robert Pattinson's grown-up departure in 'Cosmopolis' - watch the new trailer

There's a new trailer out for David Cronenberg's "Cosmopolis," starring Robert Pattinson as Eric Parker, a financial whiz and asset manager whose trip across the city takes a dark turn as he encounters riots and various intimate encounters and his perfect little world implodes around him.

In the trailer, Parker's fortune is in danger and there's been a threat made on his life. It certainly looks like a quite adult departure from his "Twilight" and "Harry Potter" roles.

The film, based on a novel by Don DeLillo, also stars Juliette Binoche, Sarah Gadon, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton and Paul Giamatti. "Cosmopolis" is set for an Aug. 17 opening in the United States.
