Michelle Obama alleged death threat from cop being investigated
A police officer working in the District of Columbia as a motorcycle escort for the White House has been put on administrative duty while he is investigated over some threatening comments he allegedly made against First Lady Michelle Obama, reports the Washington Post. Reportedly, several other officers overheard the officer in question making comments Wednesday (July 11), saying he would shoot the first lady and then showing a picture on his phone of the firearm he said he would use.
Gwendolyn Crump, a spokesperson for the D.C. police, says in an email, "We received an allegation that inappropriate comments were made. We are currently investigating the nature of those comments."
A Secret Service spokesman has said they are aware of the alleged threats and "will conduct appropriate follow-up."
