Madonna's swastika stunt earns her a lawsuit
Nearly 30 years into her career, Madonna is still doing her best to shock audiences. At a recent MDNA tour stop in Tel Aviv, Madonna showed fans a video of the leader of France's right-wright Front National Party, Marine Le Pen, with a swastika superimposed over her head. The swastika was also superimposed on Madonna's own face during the "Nobody Knows Me" interlude.Le Pen was not particularly amused by Madonna's idea of artistry, which you can watch in the video below. According to EW, Le Pen said, "If she does that in France, we'll be waiting for her."
Madonna remained undeterred, and when she showed the video in front of 70,000 fans at Paris' Stade de France, Le Pen hit her with a lawsuit for public insult. She's expected to take it to courts this week.
What do you think about the interlude?
