Katie Holmes dines with her lawyer, not a mystery man

Anyone photographed in the vicinity of Katie Holmes following her divorce from Tom Cruise is a potential love interest in the eye of the tabloids, but her dinner date on Friday, July 27 wasn't a new man -- it was her lawyer, Jonathan Wolfe.

According to People, it was actually Holmes, Wolfe and Wolfe's wife, Renee, who went out to dinner on Friday at the NoMad Hotel in the Flatiron District in New York City. No candlelit dinner between Holmes and a new love.

As the New York Daily News notes, a smiling Holmes kissed her pal goodnight before hopping into a taxi home.

Outside of the tabloids, Holmes' next move is a Broadway play called "Dead Accounts," beginning this fall. She made her Broadway debut in 2008 in Arthur Miller's "All My Sons."
