'Jersey Shore's' Deena Nicole Cortese fined $106 for dancing in the street
"Jersey Shore" denizen Deena Nicole Cortese walked away from a Seaside Heights, N.J., courthouse on Tuesday (July 3) after pleading not guilty to disorderly conduct and paying a $106 fine for her alleged behavior.Cortese was arrested on June 10 after she left a seaside bar and began "dancing win the street." Cops deemed her intoxicated and said she was blocking traffic flow. An adviser to Meatball No. 2 said she takes the charges seriously and is extremely sorry. Still, she plead not guilty to disorderly conduct charges and instead pleaded guilty to a pedestrian violation for not walking on the sidewalk, reports the Asbury Park Press.
"Please keep in mind you're taking police officers from a job they have to do," judge Daniel Sahin said, warning Cortese not to take up valuable law enforcement resources. What would have happened if the cops -- occupied with Deena -- hadn't been able to respond to a more serious call, like a hair-pulling fight at Karma or one of DJ Pauly D's numerous stalkers?
"I'm sorry if I caused any trouble," said the "blast in a glass" before leaving.
