Jay DeMarcus and wife Allson welcome son Dylan Jay

It's a baby boy for Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus. He and wife Allison welcomed son Dylan Jay on Friday (July 20). In fact, DeMarcus was in Detroit for a scheduled concert that evening and flew home just in time to see his son enter the world.

The new addition arrived around 4 p.m. local time and weighed in at 7 lbs., 11 oz. Both mother and son are "doing well" in a Nashville hospital, their rep confirms to People. DeMarcus flew back to Detroit and played the concert but plans to reunite with his family as soon as possible.

DeMarcus and Allison, a TV news personality and former Miss Tennessee married in 2004. Baby Dylan Jay joins 19-month-old sister Madeline Leigh.
