'Iron Man 3' footage at Comic-Con 2012 confirms Ben Kingsley as villainous Mandarin
"Iron Man 3" debuted some new footage at Comic-Con 2012 during the panel presentation, which included Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle and Jon Favreau. It confirmed a few things and added a few new nuggets of information about the third installment.
Ben Kingsley was confirmed as playing super-villain Mandarin. Tony Stark's mansion (and all his hard work) is blown to bits in an air assault and he must start from scratch. Pepper Pots is inside the mansion at the time of the explosion, but no word as to her fate.
There were also shots of Guy Pearce as Killian, Rebecca Hall as Maya Hansen and Stephanie Szostak, though her character is unknown as this point. The actual footage has somehow not found its way online yet, but we'll post it as soon as we have it.
"Iron Man 3" hits theaters May 3, 2013.
