Did Katie Holmes hint at Tom Cruise divorce in Elle interview?

Just six weeks before she filed for divorce from Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes sat down for an interview with Elle magazine for an article to accompany her August cover. And, in light of recent events, Katie's quotes seem to hint at what was to come.

"He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years," she says when asked about her husband. "I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that."

Holmes goes on to talk about how the '20s -- she began dating Cruise when she was 26 -- are difficult and a time in life when, "you're trying too hard to figure everything out."

"I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin. I feel sexier," she says. "I'm starting to come into my own. It's like a new phase."

Indeed. Holmes filed for divorce on Friday (June 29) in New York and is seeking sole custody of daughter Suri, 6.
