Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy expecting first child

"Homeland" star Claire Danes and husband Hugh Dancy are expecting their first child. A rep confirmed the news to People on Wednesday (July 4).

"There's definitely a chance, no plans yet," Danes, 33, told People in fall 2011 when asked if a baby was in the couple's near future. "But yeah, that'd be fun."

The actress married British actor Hugh Dancy in France in 2009.

Danes is currently in the middle of taping Season 2 of Showtime's "Homeland." A rep says the pregnancy isn't expected to impact the shooting schedule. The show returns on Sept. 30. Danes won a Golden Globe for her role as a high-strung super-smart CIA operative on the trail of al Qaeda sleepers in the U.S.
