Are Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb engaged?

Things are definitely back on for Sofia Vergara and boyfriend Nick Loeb. According to People, the couple may have gotten engaged on a trip to Mexico to celebrate the "Modern Family" siren's 40th birthday.

Here's the deal: Loeb reportedly gave Vergara a big ring for her birthday and a source is telling People the couple is in fact engaged. But, several other sources say they are not -- that the ring was just a super-swank birthday present.

On Monday (July 9), a friend posted a picture of Vergara (no, that's not Loeb pictured above) wearing the sparkler on her left ring finger.

"As of today, Sofia is not engaged," a rep for Vergara tells Peopleenespanol.com.

Vergara and Loeb had reportedly broken up back in May, but after a weekend of togetherness and a possible engagement they seem to be back in business.
