Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorcing!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing, People reports.

The shocking split between the Hollywood superstars comes more than five years since their fairy-tale wedding in November 2006, in a castle in Italy. The extravagant celebration rivaled the media frenzy surrounding last summer's royal nuptials between Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding last summer.

Before they wed, Cruise famously publicly proclaimed his love for the actress in a bizarre couch-jumping display on Oprah Winfrey's talk show in summer 2005.

Their daughter, Suri, now 6, is as much a celebrity fashionista as her actress mother, is 6.

Cruise adopted two children with his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, Connor, now 17, and Isabella, 19.

Cruise was also previously married to actress Mimi Rogers, a fellow Scientologist; this was Holmes' first marriage.
