T. Boone Pickens vs. Drake on Twitter: The billion dollar smackdown

On Wednesday (May 30), rapper/multi-millionaire Drake sent out a boasting tweet that had at least one unintentional consequence: A smackdown from energy magnate T. Boone Pickens. Oops. Here's what happened.

Drake tweeted, innocently enough, "The first million is the hardest."

His message was retweeted a gazillion times and apparently caught the attention of Pickens, who made his money in the oil industry but has been an advocate of wind farm energy for the past several years, hoping to lessen the world's dependence on fossil feuls.

Pickens responded:

To which Drake good-naturedly replied, "@boonepickens just stunted on me heavy."
