'Swamp People's' 'Trapper' Joe LaFont allegedly punched and tried to burn girlfriend with a lit cigarette

trapper-joe-lafont-swamp-people.jpgAs we reported Wednesday (June 20), Trapper Joe (real name Joe LaFont) of the History Channel program "Swamp People," was arrested early Wednesday morning in Orange County, Florida for domestic violence after an argument with his girlfriend.

Now TMZ has obtained the arrest report, which details why LaFont was arrested for assault and battery. A witness told police that Joe and his girlfriend were arguing at the Buena Vista Hotel and Spa and both appeared intoxicated. The witness claims Joe punched the woman in the chest, then grabbed her arms and shook her very hard.

Then when Joe received a call on his cell phone and the woman wanted to know who it was, he tried to burn her with a lit cigarette. According to the report, Joe denies the allegations. A rep for Trapper Joe had no comment.
