Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee Concert: Elton John's hot pink 'Crocodile Rock'
On Monday (June 5), Sir Elton John showed up to salute Queen Elizabeth II at her Diamond Jubilee Concert -- along with Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Tom Jones and Will.i.am -- wearing an utterly in character hot pink sequined coat. The piano man sang a rousing version of his hit "Crocodile Rock" (which we assume was not a snide commentary on the Queen's advanced age) to a crowd of thousands outside the gates of Buckingham Palace.
"I'm going to wear #Elton 's jacket on #LifeStories in future," tweeted CNN's Piers Morgan, noting the high wattage coat.
"I see Elton has gone for subtle, bless him," wrote @IreneAdler, fictional 'Sherlock' character. "I adore that man."
Queen Elizabeth looked on placidly, accompanied by son Prince Charles and his wife Camilla. Husband Prince Philip, hospitalized with a bladder infection, was unable to attend.
