MTV Movie Awards 2012: Johnny Depp and the Black Keys forming a band?

The Black Keys rocked out with Generation Award winner Johnny Depp at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, but does the band plan to join up with Depp in a musical venture after the show?

"He's a really good guitar player," the Black Keys' Patrick Carney tells MTV News.

"Yeah, no joke. He's a really good guitar player," bandmate Dan Auerbach says.

So what other actors would the band like to team up with?

"Matthew McConaughey on bongos," Carney jokes. "We're going to start a T. Rex cover band with Johnny Depp and Matthew McConaughey as Mickey Finn."

Ah, well, we can dream, can't we?
