Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley results: Bradley wins in controversial split decision
Boxer Timothy Bradley ended Manny Pacquiao's seven-year undefeated run, taking his welterweight title Saturday (June 9) night in Las Vegas -- a shocking turn of events, as Pacquiao seemed to be the obvious winner during the fight. But two of the three judges decided otherwise in a controversial decision that left Pacquiao stunned and the MGM Grand crowd booing. "I did my best," Pacquiao says, according to the Associated Press. "I guess my best wasn't good enough."
Two of the judges' scorecards had Bradley winning 115-113, with the third judge's scorecard having him losing by the same margin. The Associated Press had Pacquiao winning 117-111.
"I've never been as ashamed of the sport of boxing as I am tonight," says promoter Bob Arum, who handles both fighters.
Arum also says there will be a rematch in November.
Do you think Bradley won fair and square?
