Lady Gaga fires back at Madonna over 'Born This Way' and 'Express Yourself' controversy

lady-gaga-nun-habit-getty.jpgThe war of words between Madonna and Lady Gaga is ramping up, this following a Gaga concert in Auckland, New Zealand in which she implies that the Material Girl is a "c***."

The battle between the two pop stars began earlier this year when Madonna called the Monster-in-Chief's song "Born This Way" "reductive" of her hit "Express Yourself." Madge then stepped it up a notch when, during a recent concert in Israel, she performed a mash-up of the two tunes that many believe sound similar. To underscore the point, Madonna added in her song "She's Not Me."

But all this has all proved too much for Gaga. And she fired back at her June 7 show.

"It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves to put other people down or make fun of them or maybe make mockery of their work. And that doesn't make me feel good at all. That just makes me feel like I'm not being a good human being," Gaga says.

The 26-year-old singer continues, "Things are really different than they were 25 years ago, and that's what makes 'Born this Way' so relevant for me. We're socially in a different place and it's ok, we don't have to all slice and hate each other anymore."

Check out the video of Gaga's comments. The fun part starts at 2:30. Be forewarned, Gaga uses coarse language including the c-word.
