Jim Carrey bows out of 'Dumb and Dumber To': Can the sequel go on without him?

In April, Peter and Bobby Farrelly announced that "Dumb and Dumber" stars Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey had officially agreed to star in a sequel, to be titled "Dumb and Dumber To." On Tuesday, Carrey confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that he has moved on from the sequel and will no longer be a part of the film.

"I would have thought 'Dumb and Dumber To' was a no-brainer, after all it's implied in the title," was all he offered by way of explanation.

Sources report that Carrey grew frustrated with the suits at New Line and Warner Bros, who didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about the project, in Carrey's opinion.

Can the show go on with only Daniels to lead it?

That would just be dumb.
