Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Welch dead from apparent suicide

Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Welch, 66, was found dead Thursday (June 7) by his wife, Wendy.

Welch was discovered with a gunshot wound and according to to the Nashville police department "all indications are that it was a suicide." A note was also found.

Welch was the guitarist for Fleetwood Mac in the early seventies before leaving the band and pursuing a solo career.

Arguably his most well-known song, "Sentimental Lady," was originally recorded by Fleetwood Mac before becoming a solo hit for Welch off his debut album, "French Kiss."
