CMT Awards 2012: Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood headline black dress trend

The CMT Awards 2012 aired live on Wednesday night (June 6) on CMT and the trend on the red carpet this year was definitely cute black dresses. Above, Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum (left), "American Idol' runner-up Lauren Alaina (middle) and Laura Bell Bundy (right) were sporting some adorable black frocks.

Below, the Pistol Annies, made up of (from left) Ashley Monroe, Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert also were well-coordinated in their black ensembles.

And at the very bottom, we have Carrie Underwood in sparkly black dress with some serious black heels to go along. Who do you think looks the snazziest in black?
