Cheyenne Woods, the 21-year-old niece of professional golfer Tiger Woods, is following in her uncle's footsteps - thankfully, just in the world of golf. The Wake Forest golfer and graduate, who is the daughter of Tiger's half-brother Earl Woods Jr., has qualified for the U.S. Women's Open.Woods earned her spot after shooting a 2-over 146 in a 36-hole qualifying tournament at the Carolina Trace Country Club in Sanford, N.C. on Thursday (May 31). She finished tied as co-medalist with University of North Carolina golfer Katherine Perry.
Cheyenne will make her professional debut next week at the LPGA Championship and then will play in her second major, the Women's U.S. Open, July 5-8 at Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Wis.
