'The Dark Knight Rises' trailer No. 3 promises a storm is coming
The third "Dark Knight Rises" trailer has been released online ahead of its debut in the previews before "The Avengers," which opens this weekend. "The Dark Knight Rises" takes place eight years after the events of "The Dark Knight" and Batman (Christian Bale) must protect the city that sees him as a villain from new terrorist threat Bane (Tom Hardy).
The trailer promises that a storm is coming and Bane declaring that he is "Gotham's reckoning," as bridges and stadiums blow up all over the city. Meanwhile, Batman appears to have been held captive.
Interestingly, Selina Kyle, a.k.a. Catwoman (Anne Hathaway), doesn't seem to be much of a villain. We're curious to see just what her role is in the film. And when Batman says he hasn't given Gotham and its citizens everything, we are a little nervous director Christopher Nolan is going to kill him off. Hopefully that is not the case.
"The Dark Knight Rises" opens nationwide July 20.
