Mary Kennedy: Estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy dead at 52

Mary Richardson Kennedy, the estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy has died at the age of 52. Sadly this family seems plagued with tragedy.

In a statement, Kennedy's family says, "We deeply regret the death of our beloved sister Mary, whose radiant and creative spirit will be sorely missed by those who loved her. Our heart goes out to her children who she loved without reservation. We have no further comment at this time."

According to ABC News, police responded to the Kennedy home in Mount Kisco, N.Y., at 1:36 p.m. on May 16 where her body was discovered. The incident is under investigation and no cause of death has been reported.

Mary and Robert Kennedy have four children and Mary is his second wife. They were married for 16 years. The divorce was filed in 2010. Kennedy Jr. is the son of former Senator Robert Kennedy and the nephew of President John F. Kennedy.
