Mark Zuckerberg marries Priscilla Chan, announces it on Facebook

Where else would the founder of the biggest social media website on the internet announce his marriage?

Mark Zuckerberg married longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan on Saturday (May 19) and announced the blessed event on his Facebook page. "Mark added a life event to May 19, 2012 on his timeline: Married Priscilla Chan."

The announcement was accompanied by a photograph of the couple, with Mark in an actual suit (no hoodie here. Good job, fella) and with Priscilla in a beautiful white sleeveless wedding gown with veil.

Both have updated their status to "married" as well. A company spokesperson says the ceremony was a small affair at Zuck's Palo Alto home and Priscilla's ring was a simple ruby that Zuckerberg designed himself.

The two have been together for nearly 10 years, having met during Zuckerberg's sophomore year at Harvard University. Priscilla is a graduate of the University of California, San Francisco medical school.
