Lady Gaga hits 25 million Twitter followers

Lady Gaga's army of little monsters earned the "Born This Way" singer a top Twitter honor Thursday (May 31) when she became the first person on the social media site to have more than 25 million followers.

"#25milliontweetymonsters wow! I'm officially feeling like the luckiest girl in the world today. Last sold out show in Singapore in 2 hrs!" she tweets.

Gaga was also the first person on Twitter to surpass 10 million, 15 million and 20 million follower milestones.

Justin Bieber is in second place for most Twitter followers with nearly 22.6 million tweeps, followed by Katy Perry, Rihanna and Britney Spears. Looks like pop singers have the Twitter market cornered.
