Jessica Simspon debuts baby Maxwell

Just weeks after Jessica Simpson gave birth to daughter Maxwell Drew, the pop singer/reality star and husband Eric Johnson are showing off the newborn.

People magazine has acquired photos of the couple posing alongside the child who came into the world at a whopping 9 pounds, 13 ounces. She was delivered via c-section on May 1.

As for how things are going with the new one, Simpson tells the publication, "Life has completely changed. From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!"

Simpson, 31, adds, "We stare at her all the time...We can't get enough!" She and her former NFL player fiance say that the child has her mother's eyes and Johnson's "calm demeanor."

It's been a great month for Simpson. As if the baby news wasn't good enough, her NBC show "Fashion Star" got picked up for a second season.
