Jessica Simpson's baby inspires funny tweets from celebs

Jessica Simpson's seemingly endless pregnancy had been a recurring punchline over the weeks and months (and months) leading up to her delivery. So it's no surprise that soon after she announced the birth of daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on Tuesday (May 1), the congratulatory tweets started pouring in from celebrities and fans -- with several taking the opportunity to keep the comedy train rolling.

Comedian and "The Celebrity Apprentice" contestant Lisa Lampanelli writes, "Jessica Simpson gives birth to daughter Maxwell. What an absolutely wonderful name - for a 13-yr-old being Bar Mitzvahed! #HowAboutMoishe?"

While "How I Met Your Mother" actress Alyson Hannigan, who is due with her second child in June, tweets, ‏"Congrats to Jessica Simpson! Does this mean I now have the biggest baby bump in Hollywood?"

Hannigan's "American Reunion" co-star Jason Biggs writes, "Are the rumors true? Did Jessica Simpson just give birth to a couch?"  

Actor David Spade posts, "Jessica simpson finally gave birth to healthy 900 pound baby girl. #congrats!"
 
But the best Simpson-related tweet wasn't from a celebrity at all.

@DepressedDarth writes, "Jessica Simpson had her baby. Apparently, Kanye busted into the delivery room and said Beyonce had the best baby of all time."
