Jason Segel and Hillary Clinton: No collaboration unless Muppets are involved

Hillary Clinton's ascent of the pop-culture mountain continues.

There was the Texts From Hillary meme, to which the secretary of ssate herself contributed. Jason Segel also said he'd love to co-star with her in a movie, telling Us Weekly in March, "I just feel like she would be good at comedy. I think you can feel it from a mile away."

Segel has also joked in the past that Clinton is the mother on "How I Met Your Mother."

Alas, Secretary Clinton is not ready to commit anytime soon. Segel told Jimmy Fallon last week on "Late Night" that she sent him a thanks, but no thanks note -- unless he meets her demands (like a real star).

Politico obtained the note, which reads: "I was delighted to read about your interest in sharing the big screen with me. As you can imagine, I am a little occupied at the moment, but perhaps someday I can help you forget Sarah Marshall ... again. My only condition is that there be Muppets involved, and that is non-negotiable. In the meantime, you have my best wishes for continued success with your career."

OK, so now we really want to see another Muppet movie.
