iPad mini coming fall 2012?

Rumors of a 7-inch iPad mini have been floating around for awhile now, with the latest report coming from Taiwan news outlet Liberty Times.

According to CNET, which kindly sorted through the English translation of the Taiwanese article, Apple has reportedly tapped LG and Au Optronics as LCD suppliers for the iPad's little friend, with plans to launch the tinier tablet at the end of the third or fourth quarter.  

Liberty Times also notes that Apple has a goal of 6 million units -- the same number projected in April by Chinese site Netease.
