Bret Michaels and Tony organizers settle lawsuit

bret-michaels-gi1.jpgBret Michaels has settled his lawsuit against Tony organizers, three years after the rocker sustained injuries from a set piece after performing his band Poison's hit "Nothin' But a Good Time" with the cast of "Rock of Ages."

In what became a viral YouTube clip, Michaels was hit in the head by a rapidly descending set piece as he was leaving the stage. He had a busted lip and fractured nose to show for it at the time, but Michaels claims he also suffered head injuries that contributed to his near-fatal brain hemorrhage in April 2010.

According to legal papers, "Michaels specifically asked for instructions regarding how to exit after his performance and was just told to walk off the rear of the stage -- in what was ultimately the danger zone."

Michaels and Tony organizers were able to reach a confidential agreement last week following mediation. Reps for CBS and the Tonys released a joint statement saying that "an amicable resolution" had been reached but no further details would be released.
